First off, I’d like to hugely thank everyone who’s been so vocal in supporting us as we’ve grown since our public launch last year. Envoy is in 1500 offices and over 42 countries — proudly displayed on front desks big and small, coworking spaces, schools, gyms, and events. People around the world are starting to notice a new standard for visitor sign-in: Envoy. So much so that visitors are now coming directly to us asking: “Since you’re already everywhere, could you let me use my phone to make sign-in easier anywhere I go?” Well, we took on the admittedly open-ended challenge and, thanks to some modern smartphone technologies, we think we’ve come up with something really awesome. :)
Today we’re extremely excited to announce Envoy Passport! It’s an iPhone app for visitors that massively simplifies and speeds up your sign-in experience by using Apple iBeacons to fill in your info. How’s it work? When you walk up to the Envoy iPad, your photo will automatically appear below the Sign In button on the Envoy welcome screen. When you tap on it, your name and information is pulled in via Bluetooth Low Energy from your phone and sent directly to the iPad, no need to repetitively type the same things in all the time! Pre-registered for a visit? Your host’s name will also be automatically filled in. And if you’ve been there before, you won’t have to sign the NDA again. You’ll even receive a stamp on your Passport to commemorate having visited the great people at that office. It’s a fun way to look back fondly on all of your meetings, interviews, caffeine highs and free lunches — spiffy!
From the beta testing we’ve done with customers here in San Francisco, the reaction has been amazing. No retro QR code madness — and you don’t even need to take your phone out of your pocket. It’s a totally new experience and we think you’re gonna love it.
In addition to making Passport free and openly available for everyone today, we’re also announcing a new service tier for Envoy Visitor Registration: Free! As a small business, you too will now be able to take advantage of the core benefits of a modern sign-in system: fast information collection, painless signing of agreements, easy badge printing, informative pre-registration for visitors, and instant host notifications. The best part? You get unlimited visitors, employees and offices. There’s no reason to look elsewhere but Envoy. This new plan is in addition to our Premium and Enterprise tiers which are great for larger companies whose needs have matured with more specialized security, legal and support requirements. We truly hope that Envoy will now be the ideal visitor management solution for companies of any size.
We’re an engineering-driven organization and we’re always hiring brilliant, detail-focused, and fun new people to help us improve people’s lives in workplace with innovative technology. If you’re looking for your next adventure with smart people and would like to work with us in San Francisco, please visit our jobs page: https://envoy.co/jobs/. We’re incredibly excited to talk!
Thank you so much for your support. It’s been so great building Envoy with a truly world-class team and for incredibly friendly customers. I couldn’t be more excited for the future!
