How 3 companies boost workplace security and efficiency with Envoy integrations

If you’re looking to get more from your workplace and visitor management platform, integrations are the best way to extend its functionality and automate workflows across your other business-critical tools. Here’s a round-up of three organizations and how they use some of Envoy’s 100+ integrations to more effectively run their workplace operations.

The Knot Worldwide makes data-driven decisions about their spaces

While the company got its start helping people plan their weddings, The Knot Worldwide has expanded into a global organization that helps people celebrate life’s big moments. The company faced challenges in navigating a global expansion, especially in getting visibility into office space usage for its hybrid workforce.

With 10 global locations to manage, The Knot Worldwide switched to Envoy’s workplace management platform, which integrated with their existing systems, like Brivo for access control. This streamlined operations and provided access to more accurate data without burdening IT or creating extra steps for their employees. They also rely on Envoy’s Google Calendar integration to easily book desks and rooms as well as the Slack integration to get automated notifications.

“[We] were able to set up the Envoy integration with Brivo, our access control system, for the Portland office without IT’s assistance, which really speaks to the ease of using these features of Envoy Workplace. That way, our employees are automatically checked in when they badge into the office, so we can understand how our spaces are being used for capacity and resource planning…We were also really excited about the Slack integration, which is another big win for all of us!”

Aruba streamlines visitor check-ins while maintaining security

Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, was facing challenges in providing a seamless and secure visitor experience for its 1,200 customers, vendors, and partners who walk through their front door every month. Before Envoy, visitors encountered a complex sign-in process, involving both paperwork and software. The other issue they faced was allowing visitors to access their Wi-Fi network while still keeping that network secure.

Recognizing the need for improvement, Aruba integrated Envoy’s visitor sign-in system with their own network access control product, ClearPass. This integration transformed the visitor experience by automating Wi-Fi access provisioning, offering unique access codes for enhanced security and traceability. The solution significantly streamlined the visitor check-in process, reducing reception workload by automating host notifications and ensuring a world-class welcome for its visitors.

“Every guest has a unique code so we know exactly who they are and what kinds of things they’re doing on our network. So, if a specific visitor does something nefarious, we have an audit trail for that. It doesn’t matter whether we get 1 or 500 visitors per day. There’s no extra work because everything’s automatic.”

Parker Meggitt minimizes compliance risks while centralizing their data

Every company wants to minimize risk, but the stakes are especially high for Meggitt (now Parker Meggitt), a global provider of aerospace, defense, and energy systems. With 300+ facilities globally, ensuring compliance across locations was challenging due to the varying requirements and systems for their visitor management processes. In the past, their facilities managed visitors independently, leading to disconnected data, documentation, and security measures.

Meggitt found a solution to their problems in Envoy, which lets them standardize security measures across locations while creating customized sign-in flows to meet requirements for each specific location. For an extra layer of protection, Meggitt uses Envoy’s Visual Compliance integration to screen visitors against restricted party watchlists. They can also now see all their visitor data in one place, instead of across several different systems.

“We can collect all the data we need to meet our compliance requirements in one, centralized place. We trust that Envoy protects that data, stores it securely, and does so globally. That’s a big win.”
