Envoy vs. FacilityOS: What’s actually different?
Both help secure the workplace. FacilityOS centers on facility operations and compliance. Envoy connects security and safety to the broader workplace.
Bring more workplace context into every decision
Know who may actually be affected by a threat
Match global and hyperlocal threat intelligence to real-time workplace presence, so teams can quickly identify the people and locations that may need attention.
Build a more complete picture of workplace presence
Combine signals from HRIS, MDM, Wi-Fi, access control, SSO, geolocation, and visitor sign-ins to understand who’s onsite and where.
Manage the spaces employees use every day
Let employees reserve desks, rooms, and parking while giving admins utilization insights to make better use of workplace space.
Reach people where they’ll see it
Extend workplace and emergency communications to shared displays, helping teams reach people who may not see an SMS, email, or app notification.
Give employees one place to navigate the workplace
Bring workplace access, reservations, schedules, and onsite information into a connected experience instead of separate facility workflows.
Connect safety, security, and workplace operations
Use shared visitor, presence, space, and incident context across the workplace instead of managing each workflow in isolation.

Sounds great!
But I still have questions.
When G2 reviewers compare Envoy Visitors with FacilityOS, they say Envoy better meets the needs of their business. Both support secure enterprise visitor management, including custom workflows, screening, approvals, records, and access control integrations. Envoy is a fit for teams that also want visitor data connected to workplace presence, emergency response, space management, and other workplace operations.
Both FacilityOS and Envoy support ITAR and trade compliance workflows for regulated workplaces. Envoy supports ID verification, restricted-party and government watchlist screening, citizenship-based workflows, access controls, and audit-ready records.
Both cover emergency communication, mustering, accountability, and incident records. FacilityOS adds building sweeps, while Envoy connects threat intelligence with real-time workplace presence.
Envoy can screen contractors, collect required forms and certifications, route visits for approval, and provision temporary access through Visitors. For many organizations, that may cover the contractor workflow they need. FacilityOS also offers ContractorOS for teams that want a dedicated contractor and vendor compliance system.
Envoy supports directory syncs and CSV imports to help bring key workplace data into the platform, including employee directories, occupancy data, and desk inventories. Talk to the Envoy team about the best approach for your specific setup.
